Financial health assessment for our new charity partners

First volunteer assignment
Start: flexible
2-4 weeks

Accounting for International Development (A f I D) supports more than 100 community based organisations and charities in 20 countries across the world and this number is constantly growing. We are taking on new NGO and charity partners weekly that need the help of qualified accountants.

Can you spare two or more weeks to be the first volunteer on assignment with our partners to share your vital skills and experience by conducting a Financial Health Assessment or Educational Audit?

These assignments of 2 to 4 weeks form part of an on-going strategy to assess the financial management capacity of our partners and then build their long term sustainability so that the amazing work they are doing to tackle extreme poverty and inequality in their communities continues.

Typically the first volunteer to go on assignment with a new partner has 3 primary areas of focus:

  1. Conducting a Financial Health Assessment/ Educational Audit
  2. Plan (and implement) development strategies for the accounting skills of local NGO Staff
  3. Suggest the best course of action to develop financial plans and budget

Our experienced team will tailor assignment options based your personal preferences from our 100 grassroots partner organisations. These will take into account your skills and experience, your preferred travel dates, locations and assignment length as well as particular interests you may have in the work of some charities.

If you are interested an assignment like this or for more information on any of our roles in Asia, Africa or South America then please get in touch by emailing info@afid.org.uk or calling 0203 287 1177
