Capitalising on the recent launch of a new brand in July 2010 and the launch of a new 5-year global strategy (2011 – 2015), our partner is taking up a position as the global banner carrier for youth-led development – demonstrating at the grassroots and policy levels that young people can and must play a lead role in development.

The International Finance and Administration Coordinator is a crucial role in our global finance unit.  Working closely with the International Finance Manager, the role involves frequent communications with and support for the other Finance team members in Africa and Asia.

Main responsibilities

  • Payroll (UK and International)
  • Inter-company Account Maintenance
  • Management Accounts (Head Office)
  • Performance Management
  • Asset and Office Management


Qualification

  • Part qualification for a professional accounting institute
  • Bachelor’s degree, with certification in business, accounting or other relevant financial field preferred


Experience & Skills

Essential

  • 1-2 years experience in financial management and administration Good knowledge of Excel, IT, written & verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and methodological approach to financial management
  • Strong team player


Preferable

  • Experience using Pastel accounting software
  • Understanding of development issues particularly those related to young people in the field of HIV/AIDS, health and livelihoods
  • Experience as a volunteer with Restless Development or other organisation


Individual must be detail conscious, highly self motivated, have demonstrated analytical skills and be comfortable with a rapidly changing environment. The successful individual will also be able to establish strong working relationships with staff in the UK. Successful candidate will be personally committed to Restless Development’s mission and values.

Net annual salary: £17,583 (approximate gross annual salary - £22,200).
