Once in a lifetime opportunity for Spanish speaking finance professionals

Do you work in accountancy and finance?
Do you have some Spanish language skills?
Do you want to make a genuine difference?

If so, we may have the right opportunity for you!

Due to success in Asia and Africa, Accounting for International Development (A f I D), a specialist volunteering service for finance professionals is taking on South and Central America as the next challenge. From agricultural schools to children's education centres and guinea pig enterprise projects, Central and South America have an assortment of well-deserving charities who need your help.

As the first volunteer the main objective would be to conduct a detailed needs and capacity assessment of the organisation and its staff. This would then form the basis of a more comprehensive and structured programme for other volunteers visiting the organisation in the future.

So, if you’re bored of the daily grind, and craving a little ‘vida loca’, then get in touch today!

A f I D is now supporting over 90 grassroots charities across Africa, Asia and South America and need the assistance of more accountants to coach and mentor local people. Volunteer assignments of 2 to 24 weeks form part of an ongoing strategy to build the financial management capacity and long term sustainability of small community based charities.

Please note this placement will incur the AfID Tailored Volunteer Programme fee: £695 (Concessions £495)

For more information about assignments in South America please contact our office on 02032871177 or email info@afid.org.uk.

The need for skilled accountants is largely driven by a lack of training at local level, combined with the complex reporting requirements of overseas charities. This is a key opportunity to gain hands on experience in the international development sector, help you stand out in the crowd to employers, and to use the CA qualification to make a difference. AfiD is a valuable and inspirational social enterprise and ICAS is proud to be working with the organisation.
