Who are your partners?

Our partners are a mix of small grassroot non-profits (CBOs & NGOs), much larger international charities (INGOs) with their own global branch networks and social enterprises. All are undertaking important work to alleviate poverty and inequality within their communities and include micro-finance projects, local enterprise initiatives, hospitals, rural cooperatives, street child centres, conservation projects, community schools and vocational training colleges.

We are happy to support organisations with varying levels of financial management and planning expertise; from those with no accounting processes, budgets or financial plans to more established organisations with full time accounting staff and recognisable accounting software. However, we only seek partners who are committed and to the development of their financial management infrastructure and can provide the organisational structure and resources needed for our volunteers’ support to be effective and sustainable.

To become an official partner you will need to be:
  • A non-profit organisation or social enterprise focussing on improving the lives of those who are less fortunate in the local community.
  • Able to provide 2 references from international donors and/or international volunteers
  • Committed to improving your financial management and reporting systems
  • Have key staff available to work with the volunteer for at least 20 hours a week for the entire duration of the placement.
