The Rain Tree Foundation is a social welfare organization focusing on helping the poor in Thailand. They work in rural areas with various types of projects with a practical and grass root orientation. Through education and self sustainability the Foundation helps those in need so that they can help themselves. For the last couple of years, the Raintree Foundation has successfully supported several minority groups with water supply systems and solar powered electricity systems around South-East Asia.
They sustain day-care-centers, hostels, orphanages, health care programs, educational programs, business concepts, support trainings and a few handicraft shops. In 1992 we started our Program Thai Care, which is committing to help children in need in Thailand. It has grown over the years and serves now more than 200 children in 4 projects.
Current projects include:
Children’s Home, Orphanage, Foster Children, day care centre and school for poor children in order to give them good education and a safe childhood, ensuring that they grow up mentally and physically healthy. The Foundation is teaching them practical and vocational skills and in some cases sponsoring them with higher education. They have an annual average of 200+ children involved in their children’s projects.
