Quickbooks Accountant in Tanzania

Charity conserves and restores biodiversity of forests
Start: ASAP
4-6 weeks

Do you have practical experience in working with Quickbooks?

Our partner in Tanzania works towards the mission to conserve and restore the biodiversity of globally important forests in Tanzania for the benefit of the present and future generations. They work with over 130 communities around 150,000 ha of forest. Through its five programmes: participatory forest management, community development, environmental education, advocacy and research, they aim to bring long lasting solutions to the problems facing Tanzania’s forests and the communities that live around those forests.

Our partner is seeking a volunteer to assist in strengthening their financial systems. In particular they are seeking someone to assist during a transition period as they adopt Quickbooks Pro 2010. Following a review carried out by the previous AfiD volunteer, they are now committed to moving to Quickbooks Pro 2010.

Our partner is looking for someone with practical experience in working with Quickbooks to guide them through the challenges of integrating the new programme with their existing financial systems such that by the time they leave, the Finance Department is confidently using the programme to meet the requirements of the donors.

To help volunteers prepare for the challenges and complexities they are likely to encounter volunteer workshops are available with leading NGO sector trainer John Cammack.

For more information on any of these roles please contact us on 0203 2871177 or email info@afid.org.uk. Please forward this link to any accountants in your network that you think would be interested in our work.

Kate did an absolutely amazing job working with the team in Nepal last year and I am really pleased to hear that Andy is now enjoying working closely with Pramila and developing the MSH Nepal accounting systems even further. We are now at the stage where we we really need professional accountancy help and are delighted to be working with AFID
