Our partner, a small UK registered charitable trust, runs the only free secondary schools in Sierra Leone, providing distinctive, personalised, top-quality holistic education. It promotes education among the underprivileged and war affected young people of Sierra Leone.
It believes that access to education promotes dignity and empowerment and that through holistic and academic learning, it is possible to achieve improvement in personal, social and economic well-being.
The belief that education can overcome poverty, build democracy and bring the foundations for stable development is the driving force behind our partner.
This year is an extremely exciting time for our partner, with its work set to be recognised in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List.
A remote volunteer accountant is required on a part time basis to assist with:
• Maintaining the daily records;
• Undertaking bank reconciliations;
• Producing quarterly management accounts;
• Producing annual financial statements;
• GiftAid.
The successful volunteer will be required to contribute up to 5 hours per week to the tasks above.
