· Provide funding for project execution in line with agreed plans
· Communicate regularly with donors to explain how their generous donations are used
2. Responsibilities

· Scope for fundraising efforts to step up a gear (total income last year was approx. £50k)
· Governance needs to be reviewed and improved, especially in relation to vulnerable beneficiaries such as disabled children
· Communication with donors is sporadic and incomplete
· Longer term strategy and resourcing can be substantially improved
4. Profile of candidate sought
· Willing to work for no compensation (charity cannot support a CEO salary)
· Personal commitment to the work of the charity
· Experienced manager with a broad skillset and experience, ideally including some form of fundraising
· Understanding and practical experience of effective corporate governance and practical implementation
· Clear communicator who can liaise with Trustees, donors, grant making organisations, volunteers and local affiliate staff
5. Time commitment
· The Trustees believe that this role can be managed successfully with a time commitment of approximately two days a week
