Our partner is a international consortium of organisations with a mission to generate income and livelihood opportunities for the rural poor in Africa, Asia and Latin America.They are currently rapidly scaling up various ground breaking programmes to achieve this goal with the recent launch of major new initiatives in Africa and Asia.
Job Specification: Our partner is looking for an experienced Accountant to work with the CEO and the part time Finance Manager to collect and analyse historic financial information within the organisation and to produce an assessment and report on these findings. The Accountant will also be expected to review the organisation’s current financial systems and processes and put forward recommendations for the organisation going forward. Working from their office in London (with the option of also working from home on occasions) the Accountant will, ideally, be expected to work five days a week over a period of approximately one month, with the possibility of an extension if needed.
Skills required
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA)
• Experience of working with SUN accounting system in a charity environment
• Experience of analysing financial data and presenting results succinctly
• Experience and proven success in working in an international development charity
