Our charity partner are a leading international charity committed to supporting families in poverty & seeking sustainable change. Reporting to the Finance Systems Manager, this opportunity will suit an individual who can draw on their IT & Financial Accounting skills for the better of the country team & support where they can in South Africa.

Job Role
  • Provide application user support for the organisation's International financial systems
  • Support the Financial Systems Manager in the management of all financial system lifecycle processes, including application, development and operations
  • Provide systems administration support for all organisation International finance systems.
  • Design and deliver financial systems training courses and training materials for end-users across the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain systems documentation for financial systems
  • Work with key users to test all changes and developments within the organisation's financial systems
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers on developments and support
 
Systems administration and maintenance
  • Support the Financial Systems Manager in undertaking specific systems maintenance tasks and work closely with technical support teams, such as the IT infrastructure teams, to ensure that system reliability and performance is maximised.
  • Support the Financial Systems Manager in systems administration to ensure that systems integrity is maintained.
  • Liaise with the IT infrastructure team on processes related to the systems administration and support of financial systems
  • Procure software licences and ensure that all users have valid licences.
End user Support
  • Provide information, guidance and assistance to all users.
  • Provide direct support to end-users, including technical support, troubleshooting and addressing ad hoc queries.
  • Provide support to end-users on an ongoing basis based on their identified needs.
  • Assist the Financial Systems Manager in evaluating user needs and system functionality and ensuring that financial systems meet these needs.
User-Training
  • Analyse the training needs of key finance staff within the organisation.
  • Design, maintain and deliver financial application training programmes.  Maintain training documentation including training manuals and training hand-outs.
  • Provide one-to-one training support as and when required.
  • Liaise with financial systems providers where possible to support the design of training and induction courses and materials.
  • Obtain feedback from users on training needs and continuously improve manuals and training materials.
Systems Documentation
  • Develop and maintain thorough and user-friendly documentation.
  • Ensure that all systems documentation is maintained in an electronic location easily accessible by end-users, and encourage end-users to become familiar with this documentation.
Systems implementation & development
  • Work with the Financial Systems Manager and the IT function to ensure that country offices have functional systems and that appropriate systems backup procedures are maintained and monitored to ensure that all country offices meet minimum standards.
  • Support the installation and setup of financial systems in new offices.
  • Work with countries and financial champions to identify areas system improvements including, automation of reports to reduce the reliance on Excel and the avoidance of manual data entry could be introduced.  
  • Monitor and enhance the use of the financial coding structure ensuring an efficient and effective use of reports and analysis codes across organisation.
  •  Identify and promote best practice in the use of financial systems
Countries to support
 
Liaise with HoF and Financial advisors to ensure the best use of financial systems in the production of accounts, financial reports and automation of core business processes.
 
Education, Language & Qualifications

 
Bachelor's degree in a related field (computer science, accounting, business administration) or relevant experience in a similar role
Proven experience in the support and administration of core financial applications and their users
Proven experience in the use of core financial applications and processes
Practical experience in developing and maintaining system documentation 
Experience in designing and delivering application training material to users
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to present complex technical information in a succinct and compelling manner
Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures 
Ability to work under minimum supervision.
Commitment to the organisation's vision, mission, values and ways of working
 
Knowledge of Infor Systems would be advantageous
Good working knowledge of IT Hardware & Software
