TANZANIA | Internal Auditor for Organisation Educating Girls to Promote Life and Leadership Skills

Our partner’s mission is to support girls’ education in Africa in order to provide them with the opportunity to transform their own lives and the futures of their communities.

The organisation achieves its mission through one of their flagship programmes - a comprehensive mentoring and support project, focusing on life skills and leadership training, aimed at A-Level secondary school girls in Northern Tanzania. The project is delivered through the organisation’s partner schools with endorsement from the Tanzanian Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.

You will be the first volunteer on assignment with this partner, and typically, your role would be akin to undertaking an internal audit of their accounting processes and systems, and financial controls, and making & implementing recommendations as you deem appropriate.

The organisation has one Operations Manager who has a diploma in Accountancy but she would benefit from further training.  The have also requested support with grant financial report management and financial policies and procedures.

There are homestay or guesthouse options for accommodation. The partner will cover the cost of your CTA visa.

Please note that overseas assignments, in this case Tanzania, will incur a placement fee as per the AfID Tailored Volunteer Programme fee scale (see website for more details).
