Our partner is an international health organisation, committed to the eradication of communicable diseases, increasing the capacity of health infrastructure as well as directly improving individuals’ health.
 
Our partner works with institutions at the government and international level, to local the local level to ensure effective communication of up to date research, programme efficiency and monitoring and evaluation or projects.  
 
The Management Accountant will support the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Team in compiling budgets, provide financial support and information to budget holders both in the UK and globally, and provide management support to technical teams.  
 
Key Accountabilities:
 
Management Accounting: 
• Improve and prepare monthly management accounts and forecast models to ensure effectiveness of systems, and appropriate reviews occur
• Develop appropriate reporting and budget software to improve analysis of financial management 
• Provide advice, training and support to finance teams in global offices 
 
Financial Accounting and Regulation:
• Support the CFO to improve financial systems, KPI reporting and provision of information to regional offices for financial decision making
• Respond to ad hoc requests for financial information 
 
Donor Project Budgets:
• Assist in compiling and reviewing budgets when required
 
Resource Management:
• Act as systems administrator for Resource Management software including staff allocation and rates for new project, reviewing data and comparison to budgets  
• Complete and analyse quarterly reports for various departments
• Ensure requests for staff booking for projects align with forecasts 
 
Qualifications, Competencies and Experience:
 
Essential: 
• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant
• Knowledge of NGO donor reporting requirements 
• Excellent computer literacy (esp. Microsoft Excel)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skulls
• Experience of developing and implementing financial systems and reports 
• Attention to detail
 
Desirable:
• Experience of USAID cost compliance
• Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload
• Experience of working with PS Financials
