Our partner runs several programmes targeting people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. You will be the third volunteer on placement. The second volunteer was on placement there for a month.

Your role will be to check whether the financial processes and controls implemented by the previous volunteer are being practiced accurately. Additionally, there is a need to improve reporting, explain variances in actuals vs. budgets. The focus on reporting is because there is no formal funding agreement with one donor resulting in consistent underfunding; as such proper reporting and flexibility (or seeking new donors) is key in maintaining programme activities.
