Come and volunteer with our newest partner, a Micro-Finance organisation situated in the Northern-eastern Dien Bien region of Vietnam. They provide both small loans and training to local people to help them develop a sustainable, long-term business. Not only does this generate growth within the region but ensures that other locals and young people in the community are offered the support that they need.  This is a real chance to become heavily involved in a community that will really benefit from these loans and an organisation who need the professional skills you have.
 
The role of the volunteer will be split into 3 main duties and will vary depending on the time you are available:

• The organisation are expecting an external audit during March so If you are available to volunteer before this time the role will include providing support for the organisation’s staff, specifically the accountant, as they prepare for an external audit.
• Following the external audit (Mid-March) the organisation wishes to implement changes to its financial processes and controls, as well as evaluate the current Financial Procedures Manual and update it as necessary.
• The volunteer is asked to train the accountant so that she can confidently conduct an internal audit later in the year.

Given the location of the organisation and the duties of the role, this assignment would suit a candidate looking to volunteer for 4 or more weeks.  Although the organisation is unable to provide accommodation itself they have negotiated a deal with a local hotel for excellent rates.
