"Heading into Hanoi... I had no real expectations of what volunteering...would entail. My first week was definitely an experience. I learned to cross the road without getting hit, point at food I wanted to buy/eat off the street and realized that no matter how hard I tried to 'speak' a few words in Vietnamese, no one understood me. Once I got these minor details worked out, I had an amazing time"
